Marina Collard B.A.Hons. M.A. B.C.S.T. I.A.B.T.

As a registered member of C.S.T.A. I work to their codes of ethics and have professional insurance.

After working in dance for nearly 20 years, I qualified as a Biodynamic Craniosacral Practitioner from CTET under the tuition of Michael Kern, Steve Haines, Katherine Ukleja and others. My treatment approach is informed by my career in dance and my own experience of receiving a wide range of treatments throughout that time. I am continuing to work as a dancer and teacher alongside working as a therapist. I find that each of those practices inform one another and enrich, as well as deepen, my curiosity about the body.
As a freelancer, I teach in leading contemporary dance institutions in London and in professional class settings both nationally and internationally. I specialize in release technique as well as creative practice, both of which, in different ways, are informed by a deep understanding of the body and its fundamental function. I enjoy and continue to perform and make work.
I have also had the opportunity to work outside of this setting as an assistant for Breathing SpaceMaudsley NHS Trust psychiatric unit.
Breathing Space: dance and health is a public programme of dance workshops, performances and residencies delivered in health settings across the UK.
